WELCOME TO RAE'S ESSENTIALS OF LIFE!

The baby boomers generally refer to those born between 1946 to 1954 and Generation Jones born between 1955 to 1964. These were the generations born after World War II. During this 16 year period, the birthrate worldwide increased significantly.

As of 1998, it was reported that as a generation, boomers had tended to avoid discussions and planning for their demise and avoided much long term planning. However, there has been a growing dialogue on how to manage aging and end of life issues as this generation ages. Life expectancy is among the best in the world for our country. This is likely due to the availablility of health care programs that we have come to take for granted over the years. Chronic disease is on the rise with Canadians living longer. Is the health care system going to be able to sustain us?

Instead of taking a wait-and-see attitude, we can do much to alleviate these problems we will be facing by taking responsibility for our own preventative health care, which we should never have given up in the first place. Our bodies are wonderfully made and with a little help from us can rejuvinate and repair itself inspite of the damage we have done to it. Granted, we will continue to grow older no matter what we do, BUT wouldn't it be better to have the best quality of life as possible as we grow older?

Taking charge of the situations and products we allow our bodies to come in contact with will go along way to helping it to be able to deal with the attacks we do not have control over. Using a balance approach to health, which does not mean there is one cure-all for everyone, and seeing each person as an individual with individual needs, we have gone to great lengths to putting our programs together to offer the best solutions to as many people as possible. But if we are able to help even one person all of our efforts will be worth the struggle we have undertaken.
